* Oil Minder: 6.6L Duramax powered trucks are equipped with an Engine Oil Life System. The oil change intervals listed are the maximum mileage between oil changes. The Engine Oil Life System monitors mileage and driving conditions and will alert you when your oil should be changed based on these conditions. As such, intervals will vary and the system may alert you to change your oil before the maximum recommended interval. Oil changes should be performed at intervals relative to how the vehicle is driven.
** Severe Duty: Severe duty driving conditions include (but are not limited to) - repeatedly driving in heavy city traffic in ambient temperatures greater than 90 degrees F, driving in hilly/mountainous terrain, frequently towing a trailer or hauling heavy objects.
*** Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF): Without diesel exhaust fluid, your engine will limit your vehicle speed and engine performance until it is refilled. Refill tank at every oil change and check between oil changes to avoid running out. The engine is equipped with a "DEF LOW" alert.
